Ellie graduated from the Royal College of Music as a pianist, accompanist and orchestral musician, and has worked with a broad variety of musicians, singers and singer-songwriters, from London’s West End to recording sessions, cabarets, weddings and beyond. She also plays the accordion, trumpet and flugelhorn.

She was the assistant to the conductor and production assistant to the film director for Bring Me The Horizon's headline gig in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust (Royal Albert Hall), and for Celebrating John Lord (Royal Albert Hall), and has worked as a keys player for Jersey Boys (Prince Edward Theatre). Her work as Musical Director includes MD for the Frankfurt premiere of The Last Five Years (The Musical Season), The MS Songbook, Twelfth Night (actor-musician production with Reading Between The Lines Theatre Company), Frankenstein (UK Tour 2016/2017), the Great Gatsby (UK Tour 2015/2016) / Beauty and the Beast / Oh What A Lovely War / Mother Courage and Dracula (all Blackeyed Theatre), and Cabaret in the Cellar Bar (South Hill Park, Berkshire). Her work as AMD includes Kerrigan-Lowdermilk LIVE (St James Theatre), and All I Want for Christmas... (Julie Atherton, St James Theatre). Recording and session work includes the MS Songbook (Rory Sherman / Simon Greiff), My Parade (Stephanie Fearon), and singer-songwriters Sophie Janes, Dear Pariah and Buswell. She has worked with artists including Caroline Quentin, Rosemary Ashe, Cynthia Erivo, Cassidy Janson, Caroline Sheen, Jodie Jacobs, Siubhan Harrison, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Lauren Samuels, Natasha Barnes, Alexis Gerred, Kieran Jae, Emma Hatton and Tony Christie. She has appeared as a trumpet player in music videos, and conducted a symphony orchestra at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire as part of the Underground Orchestra Challenge with Sean Buswell.

Ellie is a passionate supporter of young people with over 25 years of teaching  experience in a variety of roles, and enjoys mentoring those who aspire to work professionally in the creative arts industry. She currently works at the Read Dance and Theatre College (Reading, Berkshire), and visits as a freelance tutor at a variety of other colleges.

In addition to her musical work, Ellie is also a qualified massage therapist.
